Your MLM Success Mindset

Every MLM opportunity offers the same access to product and compensation plan to their network marketers… If the compensation plan and the product being sold is the same for every network marketer, then the network marketer is the only variable that makes the difference between a $0 paycheck and a six or seven figure one…

If you are serious about success in this industry then you need to make sure you have the right mindset…

Having the right mindset is like lighter fluid in a fire pit… it makes it ten times easier to light it up!

The wrong mindset is like adding cold water… it not only prevents a fire from starting, but makes it harder to get going once you mess up…

There is a concept I call the MLM success mindset… I have found that the top producers who have mentored me and are currently having success in this industry, all share this mindset…

It’s a very simple mindset, but it really deals with a lot of issues that prevents most network marketers from getting the results that they want…

It’s nothing more than being generous and resourceful…

I hear many network marketers make excuses that really leave you dumbfounded…

They’ll start with “I don’t know how to build a website”… and you can either watch YouTube videos that show you step by step or visit a site like oDesk and hire someone to do it for you (being resourceful)…

… and often times they’ll come back with “well I don’t want to blog or do videos… I’m not good on camera”

Ultimately, it boils down to: They want to make money without doing ANY work… ok, good luck…

But it doesn’t stop there…

There are many network marketers who learn a bit about attraction marketing and they get into this stingy, selfish mentality… opposite of being generous…

In the old direct response marketing world, it was OK to do stuff like this… because there wasn’t so much free information available, a marketer could go out and say “if you’d like to learn the secrets to X, fill out your information here”…

Now, people just think: “if I want to learn the secrets to X, I just Google it”…

… and those who are generous enough to make the information available get the customer… because you can still sell information even if you give most of it away for free… this is one of the things I do one-on-one training since it requires feedback and on going mentoring…

But the most important part of being generous is something that has bothered me about the MLM industry… and that is to take responsibility for your downline…

Many network marketers sponsor a new rep and leave it up to them to become successful by following the company’s system… but I have found that the system is flawed… it works for some, but not for all…

I believe that instead network marketers should guide them and train their downline…

Sharing the product with friends is not enough… making a list of 100 people you know is not enough… you can’t build a 90,000 member downline off a list of 100 people unless you get lucky, and luck is not available for everyone…

Top producers don’t leave their downline to luck… they understand that a sponsored rep who can’t sponsor new reps will eventually quit and stop their autoship… by making sure the sponsored rep gets results they win long term residual…

That’s what being generous is about!
