Google AdWords – So Easy A Network Marketer Can Do It….

Welcome back… today I will talk about the power of the magical, incomprehensible and mysterious world of Google AdWords…. also known as pay-per-click. I still can’t make sense of people hesitating to use this wicked tool to build their business? It’s far-fetched irrational. Erroneous!

In all honesty that’s good for me because it means less competition to worry about, however, I rather see more marketers find happy days than try and capture all marketshare myself…. that ain’t happening. The internet is gigantic and there’s definitely enough room for everyone to share the wealth.

So let’s talk about what you need to do to get started…

First, you need to find a good set of closely related keywords that are relevant to what you are selling. Understand that Google is trying to deliver the most relevant information to their customers (the searcher) and therefore, they want their advertisers to follow the same old-as-the-wheel principles and help them achieve their mission. Simple Right?

The most common mistake I see is people choosing random one-size-fits-all keywords that they think their prospects will search, but they fail to separate those keywords into groups to deliver a message specific to a keyword group.

The second most common almost-embarrasing mistake I see is beginners going after non-relevant highly competitive keywords. It’s easy to come up with hard keywords to compete. It’s hard to come up with easy keywords to compete. Huh? (kind of backwards ain’t it?)…. I recommend spending a good day or two using the good ol’ google keyword tool to rack your brain with ideas and get your fingers on the one-in-a-million longer keyword phrases to begin with or take the shortcut with keyword elite.

The downside to using longer keyword phrases is less traffic. The upside is higher relevancy and cheaper bid prices (not always, but most of the time).

Last, just like you should separate keywords into groups, you should get separate domain names to match the message and have separate landing pages catered to each specific group of keywords. It’s simple, just give the searcher what they are looking for, not what you want them to look for. When you get this through your think tank, and work on your prospect’s self interest instead of yours you’ll begin to make more sales. It’s so easy a network marketer (I) can do it….

What else are you afraid of? get started now!
