Should Network Marketers X-Out Print Advertising And Use Social Media?
(Drumroll please)….. The answer is a big resounding YES!
For the longest time, I was missing out on this ‘New’ form of marketing. My mentors pride themselves in saying that they are not social media experts and that they don’t need to be because their direct mail and direct response marketing efforts are still making them rich.
At firs I listened. My curiosity, however, wanted to see what was hiding behind the Web 2.0 world. I guess I’ll start with that.

Now, people are not buying as much, unless they truly know there is a human being on the other side of the screen. Social media is basically you coming out and actually talking with your clients. They want to know you. They want to be mentored.
We are slowly transitioning into a more relationship based marketing. Even big companies are abandoning mass marketing to adopt a more customized relationship based marketing. Take a look at Intel’s community page or the Netflix Blog.
You can get a lot of insight from your customer by talking directly to them through your blog. What they like and what they dislike. People will tell you point blank what they dislike about your product or service and now you have a chance to rectify yourself, satisfy your customers and increase your profits.
Blogs also give you great Search Engine Rankings and is one of the easiest ways to optimize your website to be found by your customers. The same rules of direct response marketing apply only you have to modify your approach a bit to make it fit this new model.
The result…. 70% cut on advertising costs.
