Pathetic Reasons Network Marketers Quit New Year’s Resolutions
I was at the gym just last night and noticed something that has been there all along, but never paid attention to it. Over the last few weeks, the gym was packed. There were no parking spots open. Now, the gym is back to normal… what happened?
People who made their new year’s resolution to lose weight have quit.
Pathetic!
Only 3 weeks have gone by and their motivation and drive is gone. This is no different for most network marketers who start their business and quit inside of 90 days or even less. Most just don’t realize that success in this business or any other business for that matter takes time and effort. Three weeks of just working out or working on your business is not going to get you the results you are looking for, especially if you are new to business.
You need to be realistic in your expectations. A seasoned business owner is able to start a business and be profitable within a few days because they have experience and have done it before. You need to learn the same, and learning takes time. If you don’t learn, then you need to find someone who knows what you don’t, and that’s a separate skill altogether which you must learn at some point anyways if you want to have your business run in the absence of your presence.
Most people that come through this blog are looking to generate network marketing leads but never think of other important things such as follow up, automation, finding new sources of income from their customer database and leveraging their time, money and people.
I’m not sure if this is just ignorance, lazyness or a combination of the two. These are the pathetic reasons why most network marketers quit their goals before they even break a sweat.
I too want things to come easy, fast and cheap or even free… but the sooner you realize that this is going to require hard work, it will be a slow process and it will cost you either time or money, then you’ll be on your way to succeeding fast and easily.
I know it’s kind of backwards, but that’s what I’ve seen happen over and over.
If you read the biographies and stories of successful people, you’ll notice that they all struggled at first. They all had their own challenges be it time, money or some sort of resource that was keeping them from succeeding. Thomas Edison failed 10,000 times to build a lightbulb. Now if he were to read this, he would correct me and say “I didn’t fail, I successfully figured out 10,000 ways to NOT build a light bulb”… which is what he told critics.
Now, I’ve tried to build my MLM business in various different ways. Some worked well and some didn’t. But through that process I’ve successfully figured out ways how NOT to build my MLM and ways to build it. This is what I’m now passing on to you…
