One Simple Strategy To Success Online… Implement it!
First off, I don’t think there is only one way to succeed online. In my years of experience, I have learned and seen some patterns that hopefully you can learn today and not have to spend 2-3 years waiting to accidentally notice this pattern like I did. Here’s what I’ve noticed of those who succeeded in the relatively short periods of time….
- Content Is King…. Become An Expert At Creating It
The internet is much like the wild west in and your mission should be to claim your real estate on the web. The problem I see most people face is information overload and all of the sudden they become overwhelmed because they are trying to keep up with the latest trends at twitter, and updating their facebook, while debating whether or not to stay in MySpace…. and what about my YouTube videos… My blog? Oh man this sucks, I quit!
Don’t make this mistake!
Start out with one thing and become a master at this. This is where you do some soul searching and figure out what you’re best at and focus on it. Are you better at writing, recording audio, doing video? Focus your content on one of these methods and don’t worry about the rest. You can always take your writing and turn it into audio later on. If you do video or audio, you can always get a transcript and turn it into writing. The point is, do what you’re most comfortable with and run with it.
What’s most important is the quality of the content. Remember, you are building a foundation for your business so make sure that you include top notch material. Don’t be afraid to give away your most closely guarded secret. In fact, if you put out content and you don’t feel like you just gave your competition an advantage because you gave away your best secret, your content probably isn’t good. - Internet Content Is Lost In Cyberspace… Drive Traffic To It
Much like content, you must become an expert at driving traffic to your websites. And before you throw your hands up…. I’m not saying to disregard other forms of traffic, but rather to focus your energy on one method until you master it and drive consistent traffic to it. I highly recommend you start with Google Adwords, but I understand most are limited in resources and free sounds more appealing. Either way, focus, focus…. whether its PPC, SEO, Web 2.0. - Persuasion…. Oh What A Great Word
We are in business here. If I ever hear from you that you don’t like selling, you’ve just disqualified yourself from my team and mastermind groups. I understand that you can build a business without you being the one that sells. In fact in my primary business opportunity, I don’t sell, my business partner does. Here’s what I know, if you don’t like selling, then business will be tough. Selling brings in the money… learn to appreciate the art. If you don’t like to talk to people, become an expert at copywriting. If you can’t write, put your sales presentation in video. Again, focus on one method of persuading people…. you can always expand to other methods.
This is a simple method to follow, yet many give up before they start to see results. There are always many variables as to why you won’t see results, but the most important one I know of is this. Choosing the right market!
I can’t believe I’m about to tell you my most closely guarded secret…. The reason I was able to stake a piece in my market is because I started using the Wal-Mart approach. I went into a micro niche market and built up my business there. As I grew, I started moving into more competitive markets. I highly recommend you do the same
