Network Marketers BS Friends About Residual Income To Pay Bills

If there is one thing that is absolutely wrong with the MLM industry is not so much companies offering residual income, but network marketers who offer residual income and have yet to earn the right to do so.

People are packed into a hotel meeting and they are told they can begin to earn residual income simply by sharing with their friends and family how they too can earn residual income. This leads to the taboo-like reputation of the industry as being a pyramid scheme, a surefire scam likely to result in bankrupting you.

As we all know that’s not really the case.

The truth?

Few take on the challenge of personal development and learn to treat their venture as a business. Few learn the necessary entrepreneurial and marketing skills needed to build an mlm business. Then again, it is just as true in other industries.

It’s the 80/20 rule.

80% of network marketers will not attempt to further educate themselves and will therefore fail.

20% will go ahead and find a better lifestyle. This rule keeps on going. Out of that 20%, there will be 20% who succeed and build a strong business and become true experts.

These true experts make it seem so easy that it makes the get-rich-quick mentality people think it really is easy to become an expert. Take the story of the girl who approached a concert pianist who’d just given a superb performance. She told him “I’d give my life to play like that”.

The concert pianist turned to her and said “Well, I did”…

This is what happens when a newbie turns to the MLM top producers and say they’ll give their lives to reach their lifestyle and expertise. In many cases these Top Producers gave all their effort to build a successful network marketing business.

The difference?

Building a business is not so much a skilled job, as it is a mental game where you learn how to take your ideas and make them a reality. You don’t need to be an expert to be in business. Henry Ford knew nothing about building an engine for a car, but he could get the answer he needed by calling his experts who knew engines like the back of their hands.

With that being said, you don’t have to know everything about your business. You do not need to know how to generate MLM leads or use Google AdWords to drive traffic back to your site, but you better have an expert on your team who knows how to do that. This means you must learn how to get these experts on your team.

Most will not learn any of this and will just become a broken record chasing their tail trying to convince anyone they can think of that they know of a way to build residual income even if they have yet to make a dime.
