MLM Depletes Family Life Savings

MLM is becoming a bigger trend. Heck my grandma was recently pitched with some herbal supplements subscription. Unstoppable? Maybe…

Network marketing is putting food on the table for many families and making financially independent a few out of the many making a living out of it.

Are people really failing?

Yes, many are and it’s nobody’s fault except the person failing. This person is not a bad person. They just did the wrong thing out of lazyness or perhaps got stuck with an upline that didn’t know how to do anything else but give their downline the non-income producing activities. Unlucky? Who knows what that even means, but the point here is that there are many who fail and spend their life savings in search of a better life and they end up worse than when they came in.

There are three kinds of work that’s done in MLM…

1) $10/hour work – Mailing brochures, handing out CD’s, going to hotel meetings, answering trivial emails, fixing something on your website or facebook account and running errands… (among other things)

If you take a moment out of your busy life to think about how much more productive you’d be if you delegated these tasks, you’d be surprised.Thinking is the hardest part of the business. It’s not so much being able to think, but giving ourselves the time to do it.

2) $100/hour work – talking to customers, article marketing, doing research on products and customers, delegating tasks, and answering important emails.

Some of these tasks could very well be delegated, but many give you insight on your business and after all it could be the fun part of the business. This is many times what makes “the expert” an expert.

3) $1000/hour work – Writing persuasive copy that sells for years, automating your business, perfecting your sales funnel, strategic planning, and becoming better and stronger at your chosen endeavor.

I shouldn’t have to say this, but I will…. Obviously the work you should be focusing on is the $1000/hour work. It’s the key to allowing yourself room for growth and most importantly, growing your bank account.

Back to the MLM failures… why is it that they failed?

Well, many focus on the lowest income producing activities of the business. Few ever even consider working on the highest paid activities.

Where they told about them?

Here’s the thing, for every person that comes across this information, there is a hundred more who never learn about it. Then for every person who do get the information and take action there is a hundred more who don’t do anything at all.

What are you doing with all the good training and knowledge you’re acquiring?

Great post. Very insightful and right on the money. We focus on the busy work each day instead of the revenue generating activities.

It happens too often. I still have to battle and catch myself doing things I should be delegating.

    Thanks for visiting…
