Kid Face Plants His Way To Success

Success is not something achieved by winning all the time. In fact, the biggest success most people will have will come right after some of the biggest failures. I for one was about to quit my entrepreneurial path back in early 2008 when I found myself highly in debt and without a job or clients for my business. I was 6 days away from defaulting on my payments when I got paid on a big sale.

The money was enough to keep me in business until I made the next sale… and then the next.

Well, looking back I now realize that I was so close to making the biggest mistake in my career, and that was to almost quit after what seemed like a complete failure. It felt like a face plant rookie mistake that would keep on happening, and you know what, it probably will happen again.

This time I’m ready for it.

Although I’ve changed careers slightly, I still have much of the same interests. I guess I just found my true passion through my first business. Now that I’ve discovered how to prospect online, I have built a powerful foundation for my business and am now bringing clients into my business day in and day out. I have had times when things don’t seem to be going the way I want to and quitting is the easy way out, but that’s not happening.

I remember hearing a story of a guy who owned land and was drilling to find oil. He wasn’t having much success and decided to put his land up for sale. A young engineer came by and took a look at the land. The owner decided to sell cheap since it had no value to him.

The new owner brought a team and surveyed the land and found a place to drill where he found a great source of oil that turned the land into a profitable and possible the best purchase he’d made. To think that the previous owner had stop drilling just 3 feet away from the source of oil is nerve wrecking.

Stories like this abound, especially during the gold rush where many explorers found gold mines just a few feet away from where other explorers quit.

You never know how close you are to success and if you feel like nothing is working and everything you are doing is failing, don’t quit, you may just be 3 feet away from gold.
