Job Losses Turns People Into Entrepreneurs

Home based businesses multiplied exponentially in answer to employers decisions to relentlessly fire layoff people. The industry welcomes those who are ready to take on a new challenge in their lives.

Getting fired is the best thing that can happen to many. It is the catalyst to get them to take action, and responsibility for their own financial future and well being.

Many live today dependent on what their boss tells them to do. If they don’t show up to work, they can no longer put food on the table. For others, work is a past time. Work is a hobby they enjoy and brings them around people they enjoy being around.

But, who is coming to the industry? Better yet… who are you and why are you reading my blog?

Every industry likes to talk bad about other industries. At the least, they like to say why their industry is better than the others. Take real estate… many people blame real estate agents for selling overpriced homes and causing the real estate bubble. They would bicker about the low barrier of entry to the profession.

One needs no college degree.

No education.

Just a few hundred dollars to get licensed and hold most people’s biggest investments in their hands. And who shared their opinions on the subject? all industries (including network marketers)…

“Why Do You Look At The Splinter In Your Brother’s Eye, And Not Notice The Beam Which Is In Your Own Eye”

Then again, you talk to real estate professionals and any type of affiliate marketing they come across on the internet is instantly viewed as MLM. Oh… not just that, MLM is a horrible industry in their eyes. They are not getting rich by selling overpriced homes, but network marketers are getting rich by sucking people into a pyramid scheme where only the top are wealthy. What a world….

We (and I emphasize “WE” as in ME and YOU included) have the innate ability to look and judge others without looking at ourselves first. There are great real estate agents who work hard and care about helping both home buyers and sellers maximize their investments. There are great network marketers who work hard and care about helping others quit their jobs and earn a good income from home.

Life is about growth.

It is about contributing and sharing with each other the best of our abilities. What value do you bring to the organizations and networks you belong to? You have abilities. Everyone has abilities and skills that others don’t possess. I don’t care how new you are to the home based business industry, I can learn something from you. With the same mentality you should consider learning from others. Understand that everyone is superior to you in one way or another.

The country boy can teach the city boy how to farm and survive in rural places where snakes and insects threaten their lives. The city boy on the other hand can teach the country boy how to survive in the city and don’t fall prey to the hustlers scams or get lost in the subway.

So today I say to you my friend… welcome to the home based business industry, but don’t tell me how to make money online, if you have yet made money yourself. Don’t tell me about better options than the 9 to 5 lifestyle if you are likely to go back to it in the next couple of months.

Rather, tell me about how I can improve my service to others by applying a strategy I’m weak at and you are strong at.

Is it building relationships?

Is it technology?

Is it networking?

Is it sales and marketing?

Is it structuring business to maximize tax advantages?

Is it something I’m not even aware of?

You have ideas. You have knowledge. You have goals. You have aspirations. Being turned into an entrepreneur is the best thing that happened to you because it will allow you to realize what you are made of.

Tell us what that is…. make that your mission statement.
