Here’s the deal…

We can only make money in our network marketing company if we have people to talk to, right?

Now, if you are like me, you don’t want to go out and talk to strangers at the grocery store or the mall. For one, it is too time consuming and people don’t seem to like it when you pitch them on something they are not interested in.

Well, online is really no different than in person. In fact, prospecting online requires you to bring your ‘A’ game because many people abuse the internet by thinking they can get away with pitching people just because they don’t have to deal with them in person.

The Strategy….

Let me define a sales pitch as seen on Twitter. People say things like “New system makes you $3,000 a month…. no selling…”. Let me translate that, “buy my stuff”.

That’s not what you want to do. People will zap, block, and hate your guts. Instead offer something of true value to your customers. Offer a free video tutorial on a topic they are interested in. Write a report on a topic they are interested in. Or simply blog about a topic they are interested in.

Here’s some examples I wrote a blog on why Google charges you more for pay-per-click ads and how to get them to charge you less. This is information that my customers can put to use right away. This is the good stuff, and it’s free.

Similarly, I show people how to drive traffic to their websites.

All in all, people start to see I am teaching what their upline isn’t telling them and I’m the one helping them pay the bills. Sooner or later, they will want to coach with me or join my downline.

Last, there are two ways you will be prospecting online. One is to go after people looking to buy your product(s). The second is to go after other network marketers. I strongly…. really strongly recommend you learn to sell the product first.

Once you learn how to sell the product and nail down your numbers (how many people you talk to, how much it costs you to talk to them, and how much profit you make after expenses), then you can legitimately offer people a business opportunity and not sound like a scam artist playing the “just tell 100 people they can earn residual income by telling a 100 people to tell a 100 people….” you get the point…

This industry could be much better if we all helped each other…
