Every Entrepreneur Pays For Education

You can ask any successful Entrepreneur what they did to learn how to build a business, and you know what most people will likely answer??? Not a state university, mom or dad… no…

School of hard knocks is what most people answer…

I don’t know where exactly it is hidden, but it is somewhere inside us, our genes, minds or somewhere else that we just hate to pay for anything or invest in ourselves.

In fact we grow up thinking that investing is risky. Investing is like gambling. It is not the dreams, and life on easy street others make it up to be…

We are taught to be safe with our money and save it instead. That’s why people get jobs and save up money and few people invest. Most people will not invest in education, but will drop $20,000 on a car that will be worth $5,000 less as soon as they drive it off the lot… what’s worse, they finance it and pay double the cost of the car…

But what about education? Could this possibly be the safest and often times the absolute best investment anyone can make?

I think so…

Here’s why: A few years back I was in search for an answer to solve some personal issues… that’s right, I’m not perfect and have my share of flaws and reasons why I thought I wouldn’t succeed…

I had never invested in education prior to this. Growing up in this country I assumed education is supposed to be free and not something you pay for. However, they type of education I was looking for was not available elsewhere so I had to pay for it…

This investment changed my life, because it discovered in me the need to grow and develop personally. I rid myself of frustrations and was able to focus on my professional side of life. Since then I realized that there are somethings you learn in school and others you either pay for the education or you attend the school of hard knocks and pay for it with time, sweat, and tears…. blood maybe?? (if you are motivated enough to learn what you are looking for)

The education I’ve invested in has made me a lot of money and will continue to make me money… things like attracting people who are already interested in buying whatever I want to sell… the most important one is how to get someone from across the country pull out their wallet and happily give me their credit card, and even thank me for taking money from them. I know I thanked my mentor when I gave them my money…

The point is every entrepreneur pays for education regardless…

Some are lucky enough to grow up in families where they have access to the best information, but that’s less than 10% of the population… the rest of us have to find other ways to get to the information…

And the next question is, should you be motivated to invest in your education??

Here’s what I’ve found over the last few years…

People who go through the school of hard knocks fail more often than not. The few that ever make it do so because they went out and found others who are currently doing what they are looking to do and emulate them.

Finding a good mentor can literally cut down years and years from the learning curve if you attempt to do it all on your own…

How many times have you heard yourself say these words “If I Would Have Known Then What I Know Now…”??

Exactly…

The sad part is that you don’t even know what you don’t know…

Business is a whole world and it’s impossible to become an expert in every aspect of your business. You can’t possibly keep up with all the new marketing trends through social media, managing a virtual team, keeping up with tax laws (if you are still doing your own taxes), learning all the legal issues of owning an online business…

But just like I was when I started, you wanted to earn the income that can only be earned with a staff and technology which costs money, but you are trying to do it for free…

Well I feel your pain, but I got to tell you that the sooner you realize investing is part of business and the sooner you invest in the right education, technology and people the sooner and faster your business will grow.
