A 3-Pronged Approach To Easily Fail In Network Marketing

Somewhere, somehow the MLM industry got to you. “Rah rah we believe in you, this works, do you?”… Despite your previous judgements, experience or what your friends and family told you, you committed yourself to sell your soul to the MLM industry.

Why?

It could have been the #1 unique product that’s supposed to change your life (my god, how did you survive this long without it?). Maybe the complex and more confusing-than-quantum-physics compensation plan appealed to your I-want-to-make-money-fast inner self.  No, wait…. it was all that plus the belief that being part of this high-energy happy joy-joy story will change your financial future.

It all sounds really good. It’s easy. It’s a system that doesn’t fail. It’s on you to make it work. It’s on you to tell your friends and family about it. It’s on you to simply say hi to the person in front of you at the grocery store. It’s on you to buy lead lists and call people. If you just take action, you could be the one driving the BMW and living high on the hog.

So you take on the 3-pronged marketing method taught at the company…

You call the leads you (and many others) bought. You call the expensive-as-superbowl-ads leads you generated through business opportunity ads. You have a script (yep… the one you are still trying to memorize). You position yourself as if you are doing these people a favor and proceed to qualify them and make your offer. But really, you are terrified to pick up the phone and talk to these leads. Why? These people do not want to talk to you nor do they want to hear about your business opportunity!

So you try the 3 foot rule. You feel just like guys at the bar trying to talk to hot gals…. petrified. You find the same… people don’t want to talk to you about your business opportunity.

Oh, but there’s a better way they say. They say most people joined because a friend or family member referred them. In many cases it is true. So you figure you’d give it a shot and made your list of 100 people you knew and started talking to them. Something happened here. You realized you weren’t calling as a friend or family member. No, you were calling as a salesperson. A pest. Not intentionally, but your friends and family don’t want to talk or hear about your business opportunity either!

This is the formula most network marketers follow. Why they keep doing the same thing that doesn’t work over and over again, beats me. But until you figure out a way to build your business without talking to people who don’t want to talk to you by cold calling or bugging friends and family….. you are doing the lowest form of grunt work known to businesspeople.

Instead, if you take the time to build your business the right way and learn how to generate highly qualified leads who are ALREADY looking to buy your products or join your business opportunity you’ll then realize that this business is easy, anyone can do it and you can make lots money fast…. but you must do the initial work (which is not easy, not anyone will do it, and it’s not fast unless you have the right mentorship and resources).

Tell me about your experiences with this…
