3 Surefire Traits Of Wealthy People (Get At Least One!)

This world is backwards. Bottom Up! Why do women date jerks and leave the nice guys out? Why is it that people who want to get rich quick take the longest to make any money? Seriously… consider what folks tell you right after they make a purchase a lie!

I’m not joking…

One thing that took me a long time to understand was the reason why someone buys. There’s actually two reasons: the real  and often-misunderstood reason and the reason they tell everyone else…. meaning, how they explain it to their spouse. What they tell everyone else is the surface level, this-is-my-excuse type of features. The real reason is because they felt a certain way at the time and bought on emotion.

Triggering that emotion is something that takes skill. Now here’s the thing… if you are planning on making money (I mean serious cash), you are probably going to need one of these three things…

  1. Inheritance
  2. Education
  3. Skill

I think this pretty much covers most of the succesful and wealthy people in the world (except for the lucky .000001% who hit the jackpot) but then again, they’ll probably spend all the money within a couple of years and go back to broke so we’ll ignore them out of pity.

You could be lucky and inherit lots of cash from your wealthy parents (or some loving relative). If you don’t see that happening, then you can go for the next two options.

Education is overrated. Simply learning will not do much for you. You must apply what you learn, then it becomes important. However, I am going to refer to education as studying for a Ph.D. and becoming a successful doctor, lawyer, or CEO. This is a small percentage of the population, but it’s a way to earn lots of moolah.

Last is my favorite, skill. I see the majority of successful people develop a skill like no one else. This can be found through all kinds of industries. Think Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, and other highly skilled athletes. Think Alicia Keys, John Mayer, Dave Matthews, and other highly skilled musicians. Then you have Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, and other highly skilled actors. How about salespersons, top copywriters…. heck even hairdressers. The higher your skillset the more potential you have to earn money.

Now these are all different set of skillsets, but one common skillset these people share is their ability to persuade, convince, and sell!

The higher the skillset you have the easier it becomes to sell. All these people had to sell themselves in order to get to the top. People had to know they existed and they positioned themselves in front of the right people. I think that learning to sell is a skill every entrepreneur should develop, even if they don’t plan on being a sales person or copywriter. Business requires leverage with other people and you must sell a position when hiring or your skill when partnering or both.
